Fremont, CA April 19, 2016 — Reach Technology, Inc. today announced two new Linux Touchscreen (linuxtouchscreen.com) 10.1” modules that help engineers add user interfaces with scrolling, sliding, transparencies, 3D graphics, and animations. Like all Reach products, these modules are designed for long-term availability with a 10+ year processor life and a multi-sourced, industry standard LCD form factor.
The 10.1″ Standard PCAP Display Module (Product Part: 51-0406-051) and 10.1″ Standard Resistive Display Module (Product Part: 51-0406-042) use WXVGA (1280×800) LCDs with LED backlight and come with integrated touch. Both use the G2H2 controller which is powered by a Freescale i.MX 6 Industrial ARM9, 1.0 Ghz Processor with a hardware video decoder and 3D graphics engine and offer a wealth of I/O interfaces to connect to medical or industrial products: a 10/100/1000 Mbps Base-T Ethernet which features a low profile Molex Pico-SPOX connector, one RS232 and one 3.3V CMOS serial port, one RS485, one USB 2.0 host port, one USB 2.0 on-the-go host/device Port, one I2C port, one CAN bus with onboard transceiver, and an 8-bit GPIO port. Modules come with a dedicated Linux console port, 512 MB DDR3 DRAM onboard, 512 MB NAND Flash / 16 MB NOR Flash, microSD Flash card socket, backlight brightness control, and audio codec with 1 Watt audio amplifier and onboard speaker. It can be powered with an input 12V DC.
